I was wondering if any of you could name a bunch of Ducks legends.  The obvious one is Cliff Hercules, but through the years have there been any outstanding players in terms of playing and serving the club.  I know one or two went on to play higher class league football,  but would you class them as legends here?  My personal ducks memory goes back only as far as the early nineties, so can only judge on those ones.

Presumably we had good players prior to that.  Anyone spring to mind?

ALAN COE
For our younger readers I think it only fair to point out that Alan Coe is a legend for all the wrong reasons.  Think of someone with the gracefulness (ahem) of Peter Crouch, but without the ability to occasionally score goals.

One of my proudest claims is that I work with Ducks legend, Dick Peel.

Mick Danzey

Sorry, the only name i recognise in your list!  i'm not that young, but not old either!  Mickey Danzey was a hero to me back in the day when we scored goals and genuinely challenged for titles!  i believe he also featured in the one and only game i have ever seen! (i'm not a glory supporter or anti-glory supporter, i just live too far to travel!  and am now too ill to travel)

Ronnie Schimdt for me.... thick or thin, that bloke has worked tirelessly for the club. People like that keep football ticking over in the lower reaches - they should get more recognistion than they do.

Surprised at some of your list Luke.... Warren Williams?!? He was rubbish... a couple should be excluded for turning to the dark side too :-)

But at least you didnt mention Rob Paris! That used to offend me!
