Interesting.  Tha Manager's job is to secure year on year improvement, so good progress is being made. 

How about comparative league position - and points adrift of play-off or auto-promotion  place ?

Dont have access to the league table for the comparative period last year. However if we look at the same stats for the entire 2010/11 season they were as follows:
