Aylesbury were thwarted in their attempt to make it eight wins in a row, by former Premier Division rivals Bromley. Peter Clifford and Steve Callinan both had chances to give Aylesbury the lead before Bromley took the lead on twenty-eight minutes - Mark Tompkins headed home a corner from less than six yards out.

A minute later a Roni Joe cross flew across the face of the goal and fell just short of the on-rushing Gary Wotton and Steve Callinan.

Bromley doubled their lead on thirty-six minutes with a powerful Jamie Kyte shot which flew into the top right hand corner of James Courtnage's goal.

Aylesbury began their fight-back a minute after half-time when Peter Clifford headed home at the far post from a Phil Mason corner.

A Roni Joe shot flew inches wide before Steve Callinan pulled Aylesbury level on sixty-five minutes with a classy overhead kick. Joe and Highton both had chances to give the Ducks the lead before Bromley scored what was to be the winning goal with four minutes left. A low cross into the area fell into the path of Kirk Watts who hammered home.

There was time for one final attempt at a point from Aylesbury as Roni Joe broke clear of the Bromley defence only to see his shot sail agonisingly wide.
