![]() loading... United's league cup campaign came to an abrupt end as an under strength side were defeated by Division Two's Metropolitan Police. The visitors took the lead on 15 minutes through former Bognor striker Lee Cormack before Dave Newman extended their lead 3 minutes later. The Ducks pulled a goal back on25 minutes when Stuart Corbould drove home from just outside the area for his first senior goal in his first senior appearance. Unfortunately for the young Ducks side the visitors restored their two goal cushion on half time through Adam Wickens and despite a brave second half performance which saw both Roni Joe and Daniel Gray come close to scoring it was not to be. |
