The Ducks had plenty of chances to take the lead early on as firstly Steve Clark fired over after being set up by home debutant Gareth Risbridger and then Dwain Clarke saw one of his trademark long range free-kicks rattle the crossbar.
The visitors came more into the game as a sense of nervousness great around Buckingham Road. These nerves were so nearly settled on 34 minutes when Roni Joe beat Uxbridge keeper Nore Gabbion to an Adam Wheeler clearance but saw his shot at goal halted by Stuart Bamford.
As half time approached three further good chances fell the Ducks' way; Dwain Clarke and Dwight Marshall combined to set up Stuart Maynard who fired straight at the keeper before a Steve Clark header hit the inside of the post, Clark then saw another header cleared off the line.
Uxbridge packed the defence in the second half and made it increasingly difficult for Aylesbury to score a much needed goal. It was Uxbridge who went closest to scoring in the early exchanges as Danny Yeoman's shot hit the same bar that had denied Dwain Clarke earlier.
One final chance fell Aylesbury's way on 85 minutes as Kieran Knight, who was also making his home debut, hit the inside of the post with Gabbion well beaten.
Heads were down as the final whistle blew, although this would chance when the results from Bognor Regis and Harlow filtered through after the game.
