There were jubilant scenes at the final whistle as an outstanding performance from the Ducks secured a return to the Premier Division after two long years away and re-ignited dreams of winning the First Division Championship.

Aylesbury took the lead as early as the sixth minute when a cross cum shot from Gareth Risbridger evaded the back peddling keeper Jimmy Chapman and found it's way into the net.

One became two on 34 minutes when the home side failed to clear a corner and Rob Paris stabbed home a loose ball to send the sizeable travelling support into hysterics. Although with the Ducks' habit of blowing 2-0 leads during the season the cynics amongst the Ducks' Fans kept their heads!

Ford introduced the influential Danny Benstock at half time and it was he who forced a fine one handed save from Adam Wheeler as the league leaders looked to battle their way back into contention for at least a point.

All 3 points and Premier Division football were secured on 69 minutes when Chris Bangura reacted quickly to another loose ball in the Ford area to fire home. The remaining 21 minutes were played in something of a carnival atmosphere as everybody's thoughts turned to Boxing Day clashes with Chesham and high profile games with the likes of Alderhsot and Kingstonian for Aylesbury once again.
