Aylesbury posted a much needed confidence boosting second win of the season, scoring two late goals to come from behind and see off Windsor & Eton.

Both sides fielded experimental lineups, and the Ducks showed five changes from their weekend eleven. But it was the home side who found their feet quickest and went on to dominate the first half, hitting the woodwork twice and seeing an effort cleared off the line in the process.

Windsor had the first chance though when front runner Adam Wallace struck a snapshot from outside the area straight down Jack Sillitoe's throat in the second minute.

Shiblu Miah was looking sharp on his first start for the club and in the fifth minute he got on the ball and forced visiting keeper Robert Harding into his first save of the match.

As well as his obvious pace, Miah showed good passing range and five minutes later he released Ibrahim Kwegyir, another on his first start for the club, but a swift counter-attacking move came to an end as the winger blazed over the crossbar.

Aylesbury had a big left off on the quarter hour mark, as the Royallists hit the woodwork themselves. Debutant Leon Simpson missed his interception allowing Wallace in, but from six-yards out he struck the upright, much to Simpson and Aylesbury's relief.

A shot from Lambert caused no danger for Aylesbury, who were generally having the better of proceedings, keeping the ball well but having little to show for their efforts. The Ducks had got behind the Windsor backline down both flanks but couldn't find a decent final ball on any occasion.

Joseph Oxley came close to crowning his first game for the club with a goal, as a dangerous inswinging corner from Chris Dean fell to him, but his shot was scrambled off the line.

Another Dean corner nearly gave Aylesbury the lead again moments later, Harding getting a touch to turn the ball onto the post with what turned out to be an excellent save.

United hit the woodwork again, with Oxley again unlucky in front of goal. Yoki's long throw into the box caused panic, the ball dropping kindly for Oxley but his shot cannoned back off the crossbar.

Some great play by the excellent Calvin Thomas down the left saw him beat his man before releasing Miah, who unfortunately couldn't match what had proceeded it, and only produce a shot well over the bar when one-on-one.

A low shot, almost out of frustration, from the increasingly isolated Wallace summed up how Windsor's game had been going, and was easily dealt with by Sillitoe.

As the half came to an end Miah produced a sharp turn in the box before delivering a cross which Aaron Morten nearly put through his own net, heading the ball narrowly over.

After the interval either Windsor were ten-times better, or Aylesbury were ten-times worse. Whichever, the balance of power had reversed and it was the visiting side who began proceedings well on top.

David Pearce used his pace to break free, but saw a low shot saved by Sillitoe, then Adam Dickens fired in a shot from wide which Sillitoe did well to tip away to safety.

Aylesbury's first chance arrived on the hour mark, and what a chance it was. Dean's free-kick delivery was once again superb, right into the six-yard box from a deep position. Ryan Bernard got himself on the ball but could only turn it over the bar from point blank range.

The Royallists took the lead with twenty minutes remaining. The Ducks hadn't heeded the earlier warning, and Pearce was played in with a clever square pass, running free and coolly slotting past Sillitoe. 1-0 Windsor

At this point Aylesbury looked spent as an attacking force and it seemed like Windsor would see out the remainder of the game for a 1-0 win.

But eight minutes later they managed to do what had eluded them for the past three matches and find the back of the net. Miah showed a great turn of pace to beat his man in the box and slot past Harding. 1-1

Inside the last ten minutes Windsor altered their formation to a three-man defensive system and it suited United's wingers who were able to exploit the additional space down the flanks. Even so, the game still looked to be heading for extra time.

In the last minute United dug out a well crafted and well taken winner. Abdul Yoki's fine ball found Daddy Moses inside the box and he took one touch to flick the ball over the last defender's head, before crashing home a shot with his second. 2-1 Aylesbury

It was a fine way to not only score your first goal for the club, but win the match as well. It could have been even glossier for Aylesbury when Calvin Thomas ran through but shot wide and had to go without a goal he deserved.

Full time was only a matter of seconds away, and the Ducks were left to celebrate the win they craved and progress in the Red Insure Cup.
