Aylesbury returned to League action with a poor 3-1 defeat at Halesowen Town this afternoon. A slow start by the Ducks allowed their hosts to open the scoring after just ten minutes, and it was always going to be hard to recover.

However, at half-time at least it appeared that a draw was within Aylesbury's reach, as they competed well with Halesowen, just lacking the killer instinct up front to get a goal.

Sadly though, the home side had other ideas, and scored two further goals as United's defence collapsed entirely.

The Ducks did get some joy from an otherwise miserable afternoon, as Paul Edgeworth waltzed through the defence to fire home and make it 3-1 in the 91st minute.
