Club Statement

Some recent comments have been brought to my attention. Firstly, apologies for the lack of information on players ?in? and ?out?. Most of these are happening at the ?last minute?. We have asked Neil to do a weekly contact piece for the website. BUT ? comments such as ?the Club keeping us in the dark? seem to overlook the question who is ?the Club?. We have one full-time and one part time employee, very over-worked and stressed. The employees and the few hard working helpers cannot do any more! Remember, Luke is also a volunteer fitting in the website when he can.

Other remarks about ?finances? and my possible benefit from transactions such as Wycombe Reserves are not only unhelpful but also downright libellous! There are no secrets about Club finances or how much I have ploughed in to keep the Club afloat. I have provided opportunities for people to make comments and ask questions in open forum ? why not make your comments directly to me face to face (and attempt to substantiate them)?

The work on putting in place the business plan for next season, the saga of a Planning Application, Premises Licences and a Five Year Development Plan leave me with no time for day to day operations ? others are required for that. On this subject we have produced plans which should guarantee long term stability and success (if we survive this season) - but where is the enthusiastic response? We are currently struggling to run a Youth side (Ken Turnbull and Andy Swaine especially are doing heroic unpaid work) ? but no help from supporters in general or parents! How can we implement our full Junior Development Plan and run a Reserve side next season ? never mind attain Community Club status?
