Struggles Continue With Defeat At Arlesey

Arlesey Town 2-0 Ducks Aylesbury returned with another defeat on their travels, this time at Arlesey Town.

On the face of it this ranks as a dismal result; against a side from the lower echelons of the league who were on a four game losing run and without a goal in their last three.

Aylesbury's performance wasn't all that bad though, and they were by far the better side in the first half - recognition given by the fact that Arlesey's goalkeeper was awarded man of the match. The Ducks just couldn't put the ball in the net, again.

Giving a sloppy goal away minutes from the restart didn't help the cause, and when a controversial second, Danny Mead lying stricken with a head injury near the goal-line, hit the net it was game over.

Even with twenty minutes to go Aylesbury's goalscoring woes continued, and the full-time whistle prompted a disgruntled response and drew boos from certain sections of the large travelling contingent.

Full report from a disappointing day is now available via the fixtures page.
