A much-changed Ducks lineup were sadly unable to repeat their encouraging performance at Hillingdon Borough on Tuesday night as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Chalfont St. Peter. Last season's unlucky losing FA Vase Semi Finalists outplayed United for most of the match, and forced Aylesbury's debuting goalkeeper into a fine early save. Otis Williams saw his goal disallowed for offside after 5 minutes but ten minutes later the ball was in the Ducks' net as the Chalfont no. 9 found the net with a looping header to give the hosts the lead.

Chalfont doubled their lead with the final kick of the first half with the same player doubling his personal tally, this time with a cool finish into the bottom corner having found himself one on one with the goalkeeper.

The home side continued their domination through much of the second half and Aylesbury were lucky that their opponents missed several clear cut opportunities or the scoreline could have been far worse. As it was, despite some late Ducks pressure, the Saints were able to comfortably hold on for the win.
