Aylesbury United News Story

Shaky Ducks Falter at Biggleswade

Aylesbury's new look line-up lost their opening day encounter 3-1 at Biggleswade Town.

As expected, the Ducks side was made up entirely of debutants and it showed with the team short on understanding throughout.

And manager Byron Walton struggled to hide his discomfort as his side went on to gift the hosts three first half goals, all three very similar - as Biggleswade walked their way through the Ducks team.

There was no faulting United's effort though, and they kept working right to the very end when Ashleigh James scored to reduce a flattering scoreline.

It could have been a very different story had two Aylesbury efforts found the net and not the inside of the post in the first half, but as it was the Waders took all three points, and leave the new Ducks boss with plenty to think about.
