Aylesbury earned progression to the next round of the FA Cup with their first win of the season courtesy of an own goal and a Matt Kimani strike.

United started strongly and were much the better side in the first half, and took the lead after just four minutes when Daddy Moses' shot came back off the keeper and a defender into the net for an own goal.

Kimani doubled the lead, Moses the creator this time, and the Ducks were on their way.

But Tiptree, going well in the Essex Senior League, came back into the game after the break and after pulling a goal back there were some nervy moments in the closing stages, but Aylesbury stood firm to secure the win, progress in the competition, and the all important prize money.

The Ducks will now face either Potters Bar Town or Cockfosters who will require a replay after drawing 1-1 on Saturday.

Aylesbury's next match sees them return to league action for the visitor of Atherstone Town on Saturday 8th September at Bell Close, kick-off 3pm.
