Poor Ducks Crash Out of Trophy

Aylesbury went out of the FA Trophy after an abject 2-1 defeat at their Midlands Division rivals Beaconsfield SYCOB.

It all means a season which is going from bad to worse for Aylesbury who are now out of both national cup competitions and continue to be rooted to the foot of the table.

The Rams deservedly lead at half time courtesy of Gary Senior's goal and but for a great Sillitoe save would have doubled their lead after a first period where Aylesbury were barely in the game.

An early free kick goal then appeared to put the game well beyond the Ducks.

But there was something of a mini resurgence and Joe Oxley scored to give a bit of hope to the travelling supporters.

Unfortunately it turned into little more than that, and United must now turn their attentions back to a Southern League survival bid.
