Aylesbury United claimed a well-earned home draw with Stourport Swifts but had the chances to have taken all three.

After a number of early efforts came to nothing, the Ducks deservedly lead midway through the first half when Joel McCormick won a penalty kick which was scored by Keith Newby.

Stourport levelled with their first telling attack with a near-post diving header, and for the first time Aylesbury's control of the match was challenged with the visitors exerting some pressure before the break.

United were slow to emerge after the interval and Stourport remained on top without creating a great deal.

But as the half wore on it was Aylesbury, boosted by the injection of some fresh legs, who began to take charge and had a number of chances but were just unable to force a winner and for the second successive home match had to settle for a point.
