Aylesbury earned another point with a 2-2 draw at Atherstone Town.

It was a hard fought encounter from start to finish and United had to dig deep at times to secure the result.

The opening goal was a moment of quality in a match which was lacking just that - Robert Bartley producing a superb acrobatic effort after 19 minutes.

Atherstone slowly came back into the game and they eventually levelled when Stuart Hendrie followed up to score a parried shot.

Three minutes from the break the home side were ahead, Hendrie again the scorer.

But the Ducks weren't to let them get to them and deep into first half stoppage time Richard Pringle hit a low shot from the edge a crowded box which somehow crept in to restore parity.

The second half degenerated into a scrappy affair. Both sides had chances but they were few and far between as neither side could keep the ball and it finished a point apiece.
