Edgeworth's Brace Sees Ducks Safely Through in FA Cup

Paul Edgeworth marked his Aylesbury comeback with two goals as the Ducks safely progressed from their first ever Extra Preliminary Round tie in the FA Cup with a 3-1 win at Langford.

It was a comprehensive win with the home side rarely threatening, and after Edgeworth's brace it was another in Craig Townsend who added a spectacular third.

By this point it could conceivably been five or six as the fresh legs of Leon Gordon and another new signing, Jimi Emefuni, caused havoc in the tiring Langford defence.

Unfortunately though the result was somewhat soured by Jack Sillitoe's sending off for a moment of madness, and a subsequent penalty award which allowed the hosts to pull a goal back at the death - but there was to be no stopping the Ducks their well deserved win.

Aylesbury's reward is a home tie in the Preliminary round against Eton Manor on Sunday 29th August.
