Aylesbury United News Story

A Bridge Too Far For United in Cup

Aylesbury's trip to Ryman League side Brentwood proved too much for them as they went out of the FA Cup with a 4-0 defeat.

Even those with the most green-tinted of specs could have few complaints at the result, with the home side looking every bit the league above Aylesbury that they are.

That said, the Ducks seemed to have kept their hosts at bay with the tie skill goalless just prior to the break.

But a penalty kick and a goal within five minutes changed the complexion entirely and United went in two down.

After the break was much the same. Although Aylesbury started fairly well Brentwood had two goals disallowed before they eventually added two to their tally and finish with a comprehensive scoreline.
