Aylesbury Back On Winning Trail

Aylesbury returned to winning ways at lowly Langford with a 4-2 victory securing all three points.

Two late goals in the first half - an Edgeworth penalty and an own goal - sent the Ducks in with a flattering half-time lead after a struggle of an opening period.

Ben Baines increased the lead on the hour mark, but the home side hit back to reduce the arrears through Jean Phillippe Yamfam just five minutes later.

At this point it looked like either side could add to the scoring, but it was United who did when Danny Jones popped up to score his first for the club and re-establish the three-goal cushion.

It was lucky he did as Langford forced another goal, substitute Carl Albon netting to further close the gap but time was against the hosts and there was no further drama.

This wasn't the most convincing of performances from the Ducks, but they got the all important result and can now look to build on this with the FA Vase tie at St. Ives looming.
