Aylesbury recorded their second 4-1 of the week by winning an eventually comfortably match at Holmer Green.

The strange sight of the Ducks wearing Leighton Town's change blue strip greeted supporters, who then saw their side make hard work of the game against their struggling hosts.

After a fairly even half, United went in 2-0 up with goals from Acheampong and Edgeworth.

But after the break they allowed Holmer Green straight back in to score and put themselves under unnecessary pressure.

Aylesbury dug in though, and scored a crucial 70th minute third to secure the win when skipper John Mulholland crashed home, before substitute Melford Simpson then added some gloss to the scoreline from the penalty spot.

It gave the impression of a win which was easier than it had been in reality, but another good result for the Ducks as they return to winning ways in the league.
