Aylesbury were beaten 1-0 by an astute Colney Heath side at Bell Close, as their poor record against the villagers continues.

An early goal for Kevin Ashwood, set up by Paul Armstrong - a United player some 12 years ago - gave the visitors the lead after just 9 minutes.

After that United offered little in response and another ex-Duck in Colney's goal - Ricky Perks - was a spectator for most of the match without a serious save to make.

By contrast his opposite number made two or three good saves which was a reflection on the overall disappointing outcome from a bad day at the office by the Ducks.

United's best moment of the game saw John Mulholland hit the crossbar with a header and despite committing numbers forward in the closing stages there was to be no comeback.
