Aylesbury United Ladies got their league campaign off to a flying start with a 4-1 win over Bracknell Town Reserves on Sunday.

Although not the best in terms of performances, there were definitely signs of improvement and the result speaks for itself and was never really in any doubt.

Tara Woodward opened the scoring in the 28th minute, and later scored another, whilst Kayleigh Forsythe also scored a brace, to put the Ducks top of the table after the first round of games.

Next Sunday the Ducks host Barton United 2pm KO at Bierton Sports Centre but the Reserves don't kick off until the following week.

Division One - Each of the four opening week fixtures saw positive results with no real surprises and four home victories

City Belles relegated from the Southern Region began their campaign with a 3-2 win over Carterton Town, while Headington Athletic hit three without reply against newly promoted Barton Rovers

The other promoted team in action, Wycombe Wanderers lost by the odd goal in seven at Barton United (formerly Oxford City Blues) so Aylesbury's opening 4-1 victory over Bracknell Town Reserves propels them to the top of the first table of the season

The other side in the Division, promoted Wealdstone, had no scheduled fixture.
