Ten man Aylesbury will face a Wednesday night replay with Westfield FC after being held to a 1-1 draw at Woking Park.

With Stacey Field making his first start, and the defence strengthened by the return of Shane Wood and Bill Morgan, hopes were high of a safe passage against Combined Counties opposition.

The hosts obviously hadn't read the script though, and went ahead on 13 minutes when Simon Sheppard followed up to score after a superb Jack Sillitoe save.

As the half wore on, Aylesbury improved and came back into the game, deservedly equalising a minute from the interval when Jason Blackett headed in Keith Williams's free-kick.

The Ducks were largely on top in the second half, without finding the killer touch in front of goal as Jack Wood and Blackett missed chances.

Five minutes from time Richard Armstrong was sent off for a second bookable offence, inviting some late home pressure, by which time Aylesbury were happy to settle for the draw.

The sides will now replay on Wednesday night at Bell Close, meaning the scheduled home game with Daventry Town has been postponed.
