Tale of Two Penalties As Ducks Lose

It was a tale of two penalties at Bell Close, Marlow scoring theirs, Aylesbury not, that saw the Blues take the points with a 1-0 win.

A fast and furious first half saw the Ducks largely on top in the first half, but were found wanting in from of goal with Simon Grant fairly untested.

The first penalty award, very contentiously, then went to Marlow, with Ben Gladwin duly dispatching the spot kick which spurred the visitors on to a dominant spell at the end of the first period.

After the break United continued to work hard looking for a way back into the match, and they had one when Jason Blackett was sent sprawling in the box, only to see his spot kick saved - the second match running an Aylesbury penalty has been saved.

United continued to pile forward in search of an equaliser, but continued to have no joy and, with suspended top scorer Stacey Field watching from the sidelines, drew a blank.
