Reynolds Goal Gives Ducks Win

A solitary first half goal from Zack Reynolds was enough to give Aylesbury United a 1-0 win at Thame United this afternoon, in their penultimate preseason warm up game.

Stacey Field was the provider, waltzing through the defence after the ball had broken to him before chipping it up for Reynolds to head home from close range.

In a close fought game, chances were at a premiunm, with Steve Hatch coming the closest to a second before the break when he headed wide across goal after the home goalkeeper had misdirected a punch from a free-kick.

Thame also looked a threat going forwards, with their winger looking particularly useful, and he twice went close before seeing a shot saved by the legs of Alex Tokarczyk - playing in goal in the abscence of the unwell Jack Sillitoe.

After the break, and a raft of Aylesbury changes, the Ducks struggled for cohesion and although Edgeworth saw a free-kick palmed down into the path of Hatch - who was denied by a saving challenge - there was very little further goalmouth action for either side.
