Aylesbury United News Story

Sleepy Ducks Go To Bedworth

Aylesbury United were twice caught cold by first half corner kicks, as they rather harshly trailed Bedworth United 2-0 at half time, but a disappointing second half showing saw the Ducks eventually lose out 4-0.

Making themselves at home on the Greenbacks' superb new 3G surface, Aylesbury played some of their best football of the season and created the better of the first half openings.

But two defensive lapses allowed the hosts to take a commanding lead, with Danny Dubidat netting twice.

After the break was a different story, and Bedworth deserve maximum credit for effectively closing the game out as Dubidat completed his hat-trick with a well taken third, and then Alex Naughton added his name to the scoresheet.

With a depleted squad, Aylesbury were unable to make any impact changes to swing fortunes in their favour, and sunk to an unflattering third straight defeat.
