With many teams involved in FA Trophy action, there were just the two fixtures in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central this weekend.

A relegation 'six pointer' saw Beaconsfield SYCOB claim their first league win since mid-September, and only their second of the season, with Aaron Berry's 93rd minute goal securing a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers North Greenford United.

Bedworth United ended their five-game losing run in all competitions, two goals from Chad Degville-Cross sending St Ives Town, who had appeared to be on the up after a 3-1 win over Barton in midweek, to a 4-1 defeat.

Three Division One Central sides - Bedford Town, Northwood and Uxbridge - progressed to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy, with Leighton Town earning a Tuesday night replay in their tie.

Recent Bedford Town signing Claudio Dias was on target as the Eagles beat Brightlingsea Regent of the Ryman League Division One North 4-0, despite playing nearly an hour with ten men.

After back to back league defeats, Uxbridge bounced back to form in impressive style, as they thrashed Hythe Town 6-1 at Honeyfield with Craig Tomkins netting a hat-trick.

Having agreed to no replay, Northwood's home tie with Guernsey was a rollercoaster affair, with the Woods letting a lead slip before going behind in extra time, only for Perry Dicker to send the tie to penalties with a 114th goal, with the Southern League side going through 5-3 on penalties.

Leighton Town nearly caused an upset at Ryman Premier League Leiston, as goals from Phil Draycott and ex-Aylesbury man Tyrone Taylor had the Reds 2-0 up after 24 minutes, but the sides will have to do it all again at Bell Close after the hosts hit back, levelling 12 minutes from time in a 2-2 draw.

Going out of the Trophy for another year were four clubs: Aylesbury FC, Chalfont St. Peter, Egham Town and Royston Town.

Aylesbury FC went out to equivalent level Ryman League opponents, as Merstham won 2-1 at Haywood Way, but Chalfont (beaten 3-0 at Dulwich Hamlet) and Royston (beaten 2-1 at home by Witham Town) bost lost out to Ryman Premier League teams.

Finally, Egham Town made the long journey to Truro City of the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division, but were knocked out 3-0.
