Ducks Hit 5 and Cut Down Woods

Aylesbury United bounced back from their disappointing defeat at Beaconsfield last week to beat Northwood at Bell Close.  Manager Tony Joyce would have been looking for a response to last week's performance and he certainly got it, especially offensively as the Ducks scored 4 goals in the first 38 minutes, although they also conceded 2 to their visitors in a goal laden first half.

Goals from Waites, Putman (his first for the club), Hatch and Blackett put the hosts in a strong position at half time.  However, the second half saw Northwood have the best of the play and the majority of chances.  They reduced the deficit to a single goal with 5 minutes left and it took a late goal from substitute Lee Grace 2 minutes from the end to seal the win for Tony Joyce's side, their third 5 goal haul of the season.
