Despite drawing 2-2 at Aylesbury United, league leaders Kettering Town extended their lead at the top of the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central to five points. An own goal and Lewis Putman's 20th of the season had given the Ducks an early two-goal before Josh Moreman and James Jepson goals saw the Poppies fightback for a share of the spoils.

Kettering have now only won once in four league matches as a result, but with 2nd placed Aylesbury FC going down to a 1-0 defeat at playoff chasing Royston Town, the Poppies won't be too downhearted - Ryan Ingrey scoring the decisive Royston goal in first half stoppage time to end the Moles's seven-game winning streak.

With a 1-0 home win against Marlow, 3rd placed Bedworth United closed the gap to the sides above them, whilst a fourth straight league win was secured for Rugby Town who came through a tough encounter with Uxbridge 3-2 with Richard Gregory scoring seven minutes into his debut after signing from Stratford Town.

Big win of the day went to Hanwell Town, who hit five against basement side and near neighbours, AFC Hayes in a 5-2 win. Despite falling 2-1 behind just before the break, three goals in the last fifteen minutes wrapped up the three points for Hanwell.

Fellow strugglers Beaconsfield SYCOB also lost out, as Josh Hutchinson's 35th minute goal secured a 1-0 win for Potters Bar Town at Holloways Park.

Lastly of the games to take place, Godalming Town and Northwood played out a goalless draw at Wey Court.

Barton Rovers vs St Ives Town, Daventry Town vs Chalfont St. Peter, Egham Town vs Bedford Town and North Greenford United vs Leighton Town were all postponed.
