Following the midweek demolition by Bedford, Aylesbury United returned to the ASM determined to make amends for that defeat.
After a goalless first half of few clear cut chances, it was the visitors who took the goal after 53 minutes, with Ricky Pither scoring with a chip over goalkeeper Alex Tokarczyk after a quick break from defence.
Faced with an away team happy to put 10 men behind the ball, Aylesbury huffed and puffed through the remainder of the game, eventually equalising in the 89th minute through a Steve Hatch piledriver from 25 yards.
