Northwood's 100% start to the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central season was brought to an end by Aylesbury United, as Stacey Field scored a brace to give the Ducks a 3-1 win at Northwood Park. Myles Stephenson did net his first goal for the hosts, but coming two minutes from time it was no more than a consolation.

Aylesbury FC missed the chance to go top as they were held to a 2-2 draw by struggling Egham Town, needing a last minute goal to salvage a point. The Moles had to fight back from two goals down - one of which was scored by former FC striker Danilson Vicente - before Lamar Simpson popped up to net late on with his first goal since returning to the club in the summer.

Up to second are unbeaten Beaconsfield SYCOB, who won 5-2 at Arlesey Town to keep the Blues rooted to the bottom of the table. Arlesey did at last score their first goals of the season, and came from behind to lead the match, but it was a lead that lasted just three minutes before the Rams completed their win - with Sam Deadfield hitting a hat-trick.

St Ives Town and AFC Rushden & Diamonds also remain unbeaten, with St Ives taking their sixth points of the week courtesy of a Jordan Jarrold 25th minute goal-inspired 1-0 win at Egham Town - his first for the club. Meanwhile, Diamonds also took their second win of the week, beating Chalfont St. Peter 3-1 at The Dog & Duck Ground.

A local Bedfordshire derby saw Bedford Town take on Barton Rovers, with extra spice following the defections of much of Barton's squad and staff to Bedford this summer, with the match settled by an 87th minute Joel Norris goal.

Potters Bar Town have also had a good week, and they claimed their second win of it as Evandro Delgado scored to give the Scholars a 1-0 win at Godalming Town.

Preseason title favourites Royston Town claimed their first win of the season, as they ground out a 2-1 home victory over reigning Spartan South Midlands League Champions Kings Langley, and Ware also gained their first win of the campaign with a 2-0 away win at North Greenford United.

Also beaten on the road were another of the new teams to the division - Fleet Town - unable to add to their tally of two points as they went down to a 4-2 defeat at Uxbridge, where Matt Woods scored a brace.

Finally, Leighton Town threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to Petersfield Town. Former Aylesbury United youth player Shayne Almond scored 16 minutes into his debut, and Sansom Alalade added another before half time, but Hampshire side fought back and levelled three minutes into stoppage time.
