Ducks Fall Victim to Comeback Kings

Aylesbury lost out 2-1 at Fleet Town in the Evostik League Division One Central.

The Blues have become something of comeback specialists of late, and proved so again as two goals in the last quarter of the game won them all three points.

Having weathered an early storm, Aylesbury gradually improved to the extent that they deserved the half time lead given to them by Jonny Miller, the full back rifling home a rebound for his first Ducks goal.

Goalkeeper Ryan Pryce had been at fault, but he kept his side in the game with two fine saves early in the second period.

Fleet were able to bring on two dangerous wingers in a key double substitution and within minutes Pat Cox had headed them level.

It then fell to one of those subs - Danilo Cadete - to fire home after a goalmouth scramble from a corner and claim the winner.

Harsh on the Ducks following a committed and hard working showing, but a long journey home with nothing to show for it nonetheless.
