Thame Era Ends on a High

A bizarre second half winner gave Aylesbury a 2-1 comeback win to end their two-year tenure at The ASM Stadium on a high and complete a season's hat-trick of wins over Kidlington.

The visitors deservedly lead at half time after a promising start to the half gave way to a disjointed Ducks performance.

There was better to come after the break as the introduction of Tre Mitford sparked a new attacking threat, and from his shot Sonny French netted the rebound to equalise.

Then came the game's comedy moment, when Ryan Kinnane's hoist downfield 70-yards from goal was seemingly dealt with by Sam Warrell, only for the keeper to stumble backwards and fall into his own net with the ball.

Kidlington were unable to raise their game again to find a way through a well drilled Ducks defence, and Aylesbury were able to hold on for their 15th win on Thame's ground.
