As a group we were all disappointed with the performance and result against Uxbridge, in my opinion everyone looked leggy and a bit slow to do everything from pressing to passing. We now settle into a run of mainly Saturday games, so we have to wait a week to put it right, we are all focused on returning to the levels set in our previous good run.

Player update:

Unfortunately Jack Sillitoe broke a bone in his foot during the Uxbridge game, this leaves us with just one signed GK in Michael Chalmers. I know Michael has been doing fantastically well for the development team and has not looked out of place in a few 1st team appearances, however it would be unfair on Michael and the group to go into the final run in with just 1 recognised GK, so we welcome Mo Sampat to the club. Mo has been signed with Leatherhead this season and also spent some of pre-season with Chesterfield U23s, we will therefore have a look at Mo and Michael in training on Thursday and make a decision for Saturday.

I had a constructive conversation with Bruno Brito at training last Thursday; he explained how he was lacking confidence and rhythm following a long injury lay off. I had been contacted by Scott Reynolds at Leighton Town regarding Bruno’s availability, so we have agreed to allow him to dual register with them to allow Bruno the game time to get back to where he was. We will monitor how he is progressing. We have also decided that Kofi Lockhart-Adams will go and get some games elsewhere, Kofi has struggled to get to training and some games due to work commitments, which in turn means I struggle to give him game time when available, we wish him well for the future.

As well as Mo I am delighted to welcome striker Aaron Berry to the club. Aaron is someone I have known previously from his time at FAB Academy, but I have also been impressed with him in recent seasons for both Beaconsfield and this season at Egham Town.  He will add competition and experience of this level to our squad.  Subject to paperwork we hope to have Aaron involved on Saturday.

I am looking forward to meeting many of you on Monday evening and answering your questions and taking part in the 21CD quiz night.

Kind Regards
