It’s been a strange couple of weeks; losing Jack to a broken bone in his foot against Uxbridge, then matching Kempston in the middle of the pitch, but not being ruthless enough in both boxes. Unfortunately, their 2nd goal burst our bubble, as I thought up to that point that we might still nick a draw.

We had a good training session on the Thursday and then in my opinion had a completely one-sided game against Fleet in our favour. The emphasis was on attack, attack, attack, which we did but 30+ shots, 4 post rebounds and 5 one on ones doesn’t do the score line justice, and that is something we all know we need to improve on.

In Player news I am very pleased that goalkeeper Jack Hopwood has agreed to join us from Tring Athletic. Jack is another product of the Bucks Sport Academy (and actually now works for us as a teacher/coach). He has played 150+ games for Tring and was part of their team that reached the last 16 of the FA Vase this season. We do have a 7-day approach in for a winger/forward and when I get some news the club will release the information.

Finally, it was great to meet some supporters face to face, share my thoughts and answer your questions last Monday at the 21CD Quiz night. I’m not sure about the quiz placing’s though and am still considering asking for a recount!
