On Friday 4th May the club had its end of season presentation evening at Rivet’s Sports and Social Club. The annual awards ceremony attended by players and supporters was hosted by 21CD and Chair Zana Saunders.

Zana said it had been a season of three parts, with a fantastic FA Cup run and great days out, a poor run in the league during the late autumn and early winter but then going on a fantastic run of results from the turn of the New Year, with some wonderful football being played. Supporters are all optimistic going into next season.

Andy Martin, Secretary of 21CD, was then asked to present the Supporter’s Player of the Season. Before announcing the winner, he added further highlights from the season including the sponsored walk to Chesham which had raised over £500 for the Ducklings Trust, the goal of the season - a curling effort from Greg Williams versus Egham Town (including baby celebration with supporters) and the thumping of Thame United on Easter Monday.

Andy finished by announcing the Supporters' Player of the Year as GREG WILLIAMS.

"He leads from the goal mouth. He leads from midfield. He leads by example. He simply leads!"

Ken Turnbull was invited to present the Clubman of the Year Trophy. Ken thanked all of the volunteers and who help around the club. There was one person who had worked his socks off all season with different Aylesbury United teams, most notably at the collaboration with Tring Corinthians where he had faced a lot of issues on and off the pitch during the season. The Clubman of the Year Trophy was presented to GREG SMITH.

Ben Williams then took to the floor and thanked the supporters, board and management team throughout the season for their support and contributions. He then announced that the Manager’s Player of the Season was GREG WILLIAMS. Greg does a lot for the team and his ability to break up play, winning tackles and headers, allows the rest of the team to do what they do.

Ben was then delighted to present "The Gary Hawksworth Memorial Trophy for the Most Improved Player" to BEN SEATON. Ben since signing had stepped up, improved his work rate and his attacking and defensive game.

The Players' Player of the Season was awarded to club captain JACK WOOD. Unfortunately Jack could not be in attendance so Sonny French picked up the award on his behalf.

Both thanked, on behalf of the players, Ben Williams and the management team for turning around the team performances, Ron Schmidt and Warren Sheward for the support they have provided to the team throughout the season, and ‘Mr Photograph’, Mike Snell, for snapping the team.
