Two early goals set the tone for a long afternoon for Aylesbury United, as Corby Town showed why they are among the favourites for promotion this season.  Goals in the 2nd and 7th minute by Jordan Crawford and Elliot Sandy made the game an uphill struggle, although the Ducks appeared to weather the storm and concede no more goals before half time.

Hampered by the loss of the influential Lewis Osbourne to injury just after half time, the Ducks conceded three more in the second half, with Joe Burgess scoring from a corner before top scorer Crawford completed his hat trick.  There was also time for the Steelmen to miss a penalty, Jack Hopwood pulling off a fine safe to deny Sandy a second goal,

Two late goals from Mark Riddick and Ty Deacon were a mere consolation, as the Ducks went home soundly beaten.
