Ducks Esge it at St. Neots

Saturday 09 November 2019 - 6:08 pm | Added by: Admin to First Team, Club News | | Used tags: ,

Aylesbury took all three points at lowly St. Neots Town, but made hard work of it with only a solitary goal.

A dominant first half saw Sonny French open the scoring after 14 minutes when he caught the keeper out with a left footed shot.

Despite their control, Aylesbury were unable extend the lead and were subsequently forced to endure an uncomfortable second half.

St. Neots were improved and forced some hairy moments, but the United defence dug deep for yet another clean sheet and an important win.

Ducks Ease Through in Cup

Wednesday 06 November 2019 - 10:55 pm | Added by: Admin to First Team, Club News | | Used tags:

Aylesbury United cruised into the next round of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup with a 4-1 win over town neighbours Aylesbury Vale Dynamos.

Ken Feyi lead the way with a brace, Ty Deacon scored his first Ducks goal and Jamie Jellis also found the net, with a pleasing night also seeing Jamie Rudd make his long awaited debut.

After a cagey opening Jellis got the opener when the young Stevenage loanee cut inside and curled the ball in.

Feyi then doubled the lead from the penalty spot after a foul on Sonny French.

Deacon rifled in a third after the breaks, but the dominant Ducks found themselves caught out by a well taken Harry Scott goal to reduce the arrears.

That man Feyi wasn't to be contained though, and he added his second and United's third, only to then be denied his hat-trick as James Weatherill saved a penalty.

Further chances came and went and had it not been for the keeper the Ducks might have had 5 or 6, but can be satisfied with a return to winning ways in fairly comfortably style.

No Weather For Ducks!

Saturday 02 November 2019 - 8:40 pm | Added by: Ian Pluck to First Team, Club News | |

On another windswept and rainy day, not unlike the conditions last week at Haywards Heath, once again the Ducks struggled to overcome the opposition.

North Leigh took the lead just before the half hour, before the Ducks equalised through a Dave O'Connor goal 4 minutes later.  Into the second half and playing against the weather, the visitors took the lead on the hour mark, increasing the lead in the 77th minute through ex Duck Tyriq Hunte.

A consolation goal from Harry Jones in the 90th minute was all the Ducks could muster, going down to their second league defeat of the season.
