Unbeaten No More

Aylesbury lost their unbeaten league record on an eventful night in Biggleswade that saw the Ducks beaten 2-1.

The returning Ken Feyi gave United the lead early on, and he went on to hit the bar as the visitors started confidently.

But things took a turn for the worse when a defensive mistake gifted Biggleswade an equaliser.

The sending off of Dave O'Connor then saw Aylesbury down to ten men, with their hosts scoring from the resulting free kick to go ahead before the break.

To their credit, Aylesbury gave a spirited showing after the break and it was hard to tell were a man down, but they were unable to force an equaliser and suffered their first defeat of the campaign.

Dreadful Weather for Ducks

Saturday 26 October 2019 - 6:29 pm | Added by: Admin to First Team, Club News | | Used tags: ,

Aylesbury were sent crashing out of the FA Trophy in disappointing style with a 3-1 defeat at a rainy Haywards Heath Town.

Conceding two very poor set piece goals had the Ducks chasing the game from 24th minute, and they never genuinely looked like staging a comeback.

Heath went ahead after just 8 minutes with Josh Spinks left completely unmarked to volley home a corner, and it was a similar gift for Nathan Cooper to head in the second.

With Aylesbury pushing to try and get back into the game, the hosts scored a well taken third through Ryan Warwick late on to put the result beyond doubt.

David Manu thumped home a penalty with the very last kick of the game, but there was little to cheers for the travelling supporters on a glum afternoon all round.
