Aylesbury United are delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Jamie Jellis on a month's 'work experience' loan from Stevenage.

The youngster needs little introduction having burst into senior football with the Ducks in 2017, playing 10 games before joining Stevenage's academy.

He will be available for Saturday's FA Trophy trip to Haywards Heath.

Welcome (back) to the club Jamie!

Unbeaten Run Continues

Another fine defensive performance saw the Ducks record another clean sheet and maintain their unbeaten start to the league season.

The first half was one of few chances, notable mainly for a few robust challenges, one of which saw Ollie Hogg hobble off injured shortly afterwards.

The best chance of the match came the way of Sydney Ibie late in the game, but he chose to square the ball towards Sonny French, when one on one with the goalkeeper.

Ducks Progress in Action-Packed Tie

Tuesday 15 October 2019 - 10:56 pm | Added by: Admin to First Team, Club News | | Used tags: ,

Aylesbury progressed to the FA Trophy in dramatic fashion with a 4-2 replay win at Sevenoaks Town.

An early penalty for handball gave the hosts the lead after just five minutes.

But just as in Saturday's first meeting Sevenoaks were unable to hold onto their lead, but few would have expected an onslaught of 3 goals in 3 minutes by the Ducks!

David Manu equalised with a superb lob on 23 minutes, Ben Seaton rounded the keeper to make it 2-1 on 24, then Anthony Ball added another on 26.

Aylesbury had further chances to add to their scoring against their shellshocked hosts, but being unable to take them gave the Oaks a glimmer of hope and they had more when they pulled a goal back with 20 minutes remaining.

That lead to some desperate moments as United clung onto their slender lead, until Manu scored another in stoppage time to finally make the game safe at 4-2.

Aylesbury will now face a trip to Haywards Heath Town on 26th October.

On Non League Day we were delighted to have our charity partner, The Ducklings Trust, in attendance.

Not only was it a great opportunity to show off our new training tops with the charity logo emblazoned on the front, but an opportunity to raise some money for this fantastic cause.

In total £71.27 was raised via a bucket collection which club Chairman, Graham Read agreed to match, totalling £142.54. Thank you to all the supporters who gave generously.
