The Ducks second string overcame Saturday's defeat to see off Maidenhead 5-2 last night. Goals from Pritchard, Golding, Gray, Brumwell and Sells sealed the win, and Danny Lampton made an excellent double save to deny the home side.

A dire game for the Ducks ended in a three goal defeat at the hands of Grays Athletic. The home side were never in the game, and a goal, let alone victory, looked far, far away.

Grays on the other hand played some good football at times and looked well organised. Once more, it is surprising to see their current league position.

The Ducks have been drawn away to Braintree Town in the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round. The tie will be played on the 27th September. Hopefully the result will be more positive than our recent trip to Braintree!

The Ducks Reserves racked up an excellent win in the first round of the Suburban League Cup, over their former Northern Division counterparts Hungerford Town.

A hat-trick from Richard Golding, and strikes by Ben Tew and Tony Castielli settled the match, before Hungerford Town got a late consolation goal.

Ready Signs For Crawley Town

Karl Ready's time with Aylesbury United has come to a premature end, as the ex-Welsh International has moved to Dr Martens side Crawley Town. Ready made five appearances for the Ducks since his move from Aldershot Town, and was a commanding presence. He also scored a penalty on his debut againt Billericay Town.

Obviously we wish Karl well at Crawley Town, and we must now look to the future and the massive gap that now needs filling.
