Bath City 2 Aylesbury 0
30Apr2005
Aylesbury United's league campaign came to an end with a 2-0 defeat at Bath City.
The promotion chasing side dominated the first half, and two quick goals from Scott Partridge and Bobby Ford gave them a two-goal cushion at the interval.
Partridge went on to miss a penalty in the second half, but the result was not enough as the home side just missed out on a play-off spot.

Youngsters Lift League Cup!
29Apr2005
The Sunday Youth side are celebrating tonight after winning the South Bucks Youth League Cup, to round off their successful season - beating Totteridge 2-1.
The Ducks controlled the match for large periods, and could have gone into the break four or five goals ahead.
After Frankie Ross hit the post early on, Byron Goodman gave Aylesbury the lead, turning in Aston Goss' corner.
Stephen Lane made it two, after Goss' volleyed effort had been well saved by Totteridge's goalkeeper.
Further chances went untaken before the interval, including a spectacular strike from Lane that rebounded off the post from distance.
Totteridge clawed a goal back midway through the second half, but couldn't lift themselves enough to claim an equaliser, and it was Aylesbury who won the Trophy.

1st prize ?100: 428
2nd prize ?50: 244
Aylesbury 1 Hednesford Town 4
23Apr2005
Any hopes of Aylesbury reaching the play-offs were well and truly put to bed as the Ducks spectacurlarly collapsed at home to Hednesford Town.
The first half hour was promising though, and Drew Roberts gave the Ducks the lead, although it may have been an own goal.
It mattered little - as United conceded sloppy goals to allow Hednesford to go into the break 2-1 up.
They netted two further goals in the second period, to leave Aylesbury just happy to get to the full time whistle as soon as possible.

New Era Supply Cup Final Coach
22Apr2005
New Era will once again be generously donating their luxury coach to Aylesbury United's cause.
During pre-season Peter Lee, the MD of New Era promised use of the coach, if we were drawn away in a big cup game, and he has obliged for the second time this season.
The team last used the coach to travel to Forest Green Rovers, but will now also be travelling in style to Wycombe Wanderers for the Berks & Bucks Cup Final.
Cracknell Not Returning
20Apr2005
Apologies for the somewhat premature news story from earlier this week regarding the re-signing of Bishop's Stortford midfielder Dean Cracknell.
Although it was thought a deal had been finalised, this is not the case and Dean will be staying with his current club at least until the end of the season.
Danny Nicholls is still in negotiations though, with regards to signing Cracknell for next season.

Kings Lynn 1 Aylesbury 0
16Apr2005
A free-kick goal from Mark Angel was enough to decide a close game, and inflict another setback on Aylesbury's play-off aspirations.
The game was closely run, although the home side fashioned the better chances, and only due to wasteful finishing and saves from Jack Rashid the game was goalless at the interval.
Angel's kick changed that though, and with United struggling Lynn held on for a win which condemns Aylesbury to 8th position in the League.
