Halesowen Town 1 Aylesbury 1
25Feb2006
Aylesbury had to come from behind to record a precious away point at Halesowen Town.
Debutant Nick Jackson, on as a half-time substitute, was the hero when he levelled the match after an hour with a sublime left-footed goal.
That was after an early lapse in concentration cost the Ducks a goal after just three minutes, but that proved to spur them on further as they controlled parts of the match.
Also making his debut for Aylesbury was young striker Kieron Deane, and he also had an impressive game with his skill on the ball a constant threat.

Aylesbury 0 Wycome Wanderers 2
21Feb2006
Aylesbury bowed out of the Berks & Bucks Cup at the hands of Wycombe Wanderers, as they were beaten 2-0 at a freezing cold Buckingham Road.
The Ducks can be proud of their display though, as the young side pushed their professional counterparts hard.
In the end it was the Chairboys superior finishing which paid dividends, with former Forest Green striker Charlie Griffin and exciting young winger Ikechi Anya netting in the second half.
Wycombe's reward for their win is a home tie against Beaconsfield SYCOB in the Semi-Finals.

New 50:50 Draw Launched
20Feb2006
As many of you will now be aware, the Aylesbury United Supporters Trust (21CD) are introducing a 50:50 prize draw to replace the 500 Club previously run by Aylesbury United.
It had been the trust's intention to effectively 'take over' the 500 Club but because of the bank's refusal to transfer the bank account, this was not possible. As a consequence, there has unfortunately been a time gap between the cessation of the 500 Club at the start of January 2006 and the anticipated start of the Supporters Trust 50:50 Draw in March 2006.
Entries to the new draw are available to all comers at a cost of ?5 per month per number payable either by a monthly standing order, or by a cheque for ?60 covering twelve months.
The first draw will take place at the end of March 2006 and will provide three prizes - one of ?150, and two of ?50 (providing always that there is an uptake of approximately 100 numbers)
The Supporters Trust have commited to pay out 50% of the income in prizes, so amounts payable will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
The draw will only include numbers that have been issued so at least three subscribers will be guaranteed prizes each month.
21CD are commited to ensuring that all monies donated to Aylesbury United Football Club will be used to finance footballing activities - such as the provision of away travel for the first team.
We hope that you will take the opportunity of not only subscribing yourself, but of persuading (press-ganging!) your friends, colleagues and relatives to take out a number - with an extremely good chance of winning a reasonable cash przie each month.
For all the details, and an application form to join the scheme, click the link below to go to the new dedicated 50:50 Draw page.

Save The Ducks!
20Feb2006
Everyone at the Club is fighting to maintain it?s 109 years history, and manager Neil Trebble and his coaches are doing all they can to avoid relegation this season. We are doing all we can to support Neil, and all funds raised by way of sponsorship will go towards his playing budget. The Fans can help also, and receive recognition for their support.
We have seen a considerable change of personnel at the club in the last couple of months, and we are offering the opportunity to sponsor a player for ?20 until the end of the season. All the new players available for sponsorship will be displayed on the website and in the programme, anyone who previously sponsored a player who has left the Club may change to a current player, please contact either Luke or me with your details and payment.
Also we are giving fans the chance to support their Club and have some fun at the same time, again for ?20 you may sponsor virtually anyone or anything at the Club, I will get the ball rolling by sponsoring Dashy the Duck, others for example, Pete Ash?s Tractor, Ron Schmidt?s washing machine (worn out by the way), your favourite turnstile, the chicken run, Gareth Styles?s Medical bag, home dugout, players tunnel etc.
I?m sure you will have great fun coming up with many more and at the same time providing much needed income.
Thank you for your continued support, keep the faith, the fat lady hasn?t started singing just yet.
Up the Ducks.

Aylesbury 1 Rugby Town 1
18Feb2006
Aylesbury missed out on a great chance to record their first win in eighteen games at home to mid-table Rugby this afternoon.
Again it was a lack of goalscoring prowess, coupled with a poor start, which undid the Ducks.
United were dire for the opening twenty-five minutes of the game, and the visitors took the lead after just two minutes, but Aylesbury finally clicked into life and Leon Gutzmore scored just past the half-hour mark.
The Ducks were undoubtably the better side in the second half, but just couldn't find it in them to score a decisive second and will probably look back at two points lost in this match.
