Ducks Return to Pre-Season Training
29th June 2010
Aylesbury United got their first training session ahead of the new season under their belts this evening.
With a healthy turnout of players featuring a mixture of last season's squad as well as new faces, the session was overseen by manager Tony Joyce and new coach Glyn Creaser with Gary Hawksworth on holiday.
Creaser got proceedings underway with a tough looking running programme, before the players moved on to various exercises with the ball.
The players will continue to train twice a week now as the build up continues before Aylesbury's first pre-season friendly at Winslow United in ten days time 10th July - 11am).
Goal-Den Goal Returns For 2010
22nd June 2010
After the phenomenal success of the inaugural 'Goal-Den Goal' Competition last season, we will be running it again this year.
The format is simple:
We are looking to ?sell? every minute of every league game throughout the season. The first goal in any AUFC 1st team league game, scored by United or their opponents, will result in a payout of £22.50 per game to the winning sponsor.
What we are looking for:
In order to run this, we are looking for 91 sponsors (0-0 draw is also included!). To sponsor a minute of the game costs £25 for the season. This will include all 44 SSML fixtures, AND the first 6 cup matches in all competitions. In short, each entry will have 50 chances of winning £22.50.
Once we have 91 confirmed entries, minutes will be allocated via a draw and each entry will be notified as to their minute for the season.
To join in the fun and enter the competition, simply download the form click here and return to the address shown.
Many thanks in advance for supporting your local club.
Aylesbury United Raise ?600 for Florence Nightingale Hospice
16th June 2010
Aylesbury United are to donate all the money raised from the recently held 'Grand Auction' to Florence Nightingale Hospice.
However, we still have a couple of items not collected and paid for in our End of Season Grand Auction. The auction itself promised to bring in £600 with the funds due to be split between the club and our chosen charity, The Florence Nightingale Hospice.
During the past week, Aylesbury United have agreed to waive the money they were due from the auction, thus committing 100% of the money to Florence Nightingale. We would like to hand out the auction items and honour our committment to the charity as soon as possible.
If you are, or indeed know the following people, please ask them to contact the club so we can pass on the items to them.

Ducks Sign Creaser As Coach
10th June 2010
Aylesbury United have made their first major summer signing with the appointment of Wycombe Wanderers legend Glyn Creaser as first team coach.
Glyn joined Wanderers in 1988 from Barnet for a £15,000 fee and went on to captain the Chairboys in a seven-year spell at the club.
During that time he lead his side to promotion to the Football League, and two FA Trophy victories before returning to Wembley for a third time and winning playoff promotion to the old Division 2.
After finally leaving Wycombe in 1995, Glyn went on to play for Dagenham & Redbridge and Bedford Town.
Glyn has been assistant manager at Spartan South Midlands League Division One outfit New Bradwell St. Peter for the past two seasons.
