Depleted Ducks Defeated at Sudbury

6th February 2010

Sudbury completed their rather comfortable double over the Ducks by inflicting a 5-2 defeat at King's Marsh.

The home side took the lead through Craig Hughes with just 3 minutes gone, and scored another courtesy of Daniel Emmanuel before 15 minutes had been played.

Aylesbury were missing a large number of players to injury and the team's unfamiliarity was proving a big factor, but Shiblu Miah gave his side a lifeline with an instant goal back.

It meant the Ducks were back in the game, but quite how the yellows failed to increase their lead before the break only they'll know.

The second half was a different story as Sudbury finally managed to convert their chances - on loan Histon striker netting a hattrick to make it 5-1.

Again there were more chances, but United had the last word when Richard Pringle marked his return with a well taken goal.
