Biography
Prolific striker snapped up from Kettering Town in December 2004, by manager Danny Nicholls.
Drew was Bedford Town's top goalscorer in the 2003/04 season, and linked up with former manager Kevin Wilson at the Poppies the following Summer.
After a disappointing time at Rockingham Road, and having already rejected a move to Boreham Wood, he decided to join the Ducks and link up with former team-mates Liam Folds, Gavin Jaggard and Neil Lazarus.
After taking a couple of games to settle in, he began finding the net regularly, before suffering a nasty injury at Tiverton Town. Once recovered from that he returned to scoring ways, ending the season with an impressive strike rate of 13 goals in 22 games.
The following season was something of a stop start affair, with a hamstring injury and uncertainty over his striking partner the main concerns. Still managed to find the net seven more times in green and white, before the lure of higher level football proved too strong when Histon came calling and he left the Ducks for the Cambridgeshire side.
His time at Histon was sadly blighted by injury, and he never truly became first choice with the Stutes and after a frustrating season and a half he was released.
Linked up with Nicholls again at Hemel Hempstead and soon hit the goal trail for the first part of 2007/08, before the Tudors form worsened, Nicholls departed and Roberts followed suit - moving on to Cambridge City in February 2008.
