Player Profile

Joe Baker joined Aylesbury on loan from Billericay Town at the end of August 2002 and made a big impact. With his combination of burst of pace and trickery he appeared to be just the player United needed to kick-start their season.

Unfortunately the performances dropped off after the move had been made permanent, and he became something of an inconsistent player, and found himself in and out of the team.

On his day could single-handedly win a match for Aylesbury, and key moments included stroking home the winning penalty in the FA Trophy 5th Round Replay against Windsor, as well as scoring some crucial goals.

However, his displays were a cause of growing frustration, and he was released as then manager Steve Cordery's last action at the club.
