The first player to score 50 goals for the club since the late 80s, the 50th coming when he stabbed home a rebound at Dunstable in January 2012, Paul Edgeworth is a talented and versatile player.

Capable of playing in every position on the pitch, he returned from Slough Town in summer 2010 having captained the Rebels to a Southern League Division One Midlands playoff final, where they were defeated at Chesham United

Paul first moved to Aylesbury towards the end of 2003/04 from Newport Pagnell Town but after just five games decided to return to the United Counties League side, although he was persuaded back to Aylesbury the following summer for a second, much more successful spell.

Most comfortable in attacking midfield or forward roles, he was the top scorer in his first full season at the club netting 16 times. The following campaign Paul never quite hit top form in the opening months and in December 2005 he left with many of his teammates, joining Hemel Hempstead Town.

After three and a half seasons with the Tudors he moved on with manager Steve Bateman to Slough in the off-season of 2009 and with another successful campaign in his pocket he opted to join a team closer to home and signed for Tony Joyce's newly assembled squad.

When at the top of his game makes Aylesbury tick wherever he plays, and weighed in with an impressive 19-goal haul last season and to date his scoring exploits show no signs of slowing.
