A brilliant all-round performance was the basis for this win at the FA Trophy Semi-Finalists who managed just one shot on target throughout. Swaysland latched onto a Hoddle through ball after just 5 minutes and clipped the ball over England Semi-Pro international keeper Paul Gothard to give United a great start, and after 16 minutes Gallagher passed to Eddie Denton who got the better of Culverhouse before slotting home his first goal for the club. A Swaysland header struck the crossbar, and apart from Rogers heading wide late on for the home side, United ran out worthy winners to move up four places in the table. |
