After their 5-1 demolition of Northwood at Buckingham Road in midweek gave them their biggest win of the season so far, The Ducks kept only their 5th clean sheet so far with this win at Stompond Lane. United looked marginally the better side in a first half which saw both sides struggle to create chances and they eventually broke the deadlock in the 38th minute. Good work from Kieran Gallagher and Phil Mason created space for Stuart Maynard to fire home a fierce shot from 14 yards and mark his full debut with a goal. The second half was more entertaining as the Ducks looked to kill off a spirited home side and the crucial second goal eventually came in the 81st minute when sub Roni Joe?s good run created the space for Jefferson Louis to give the home keeper no chance with a good finish. |
